JOA Surveys, LLC (JOA) has the experience to provide cost-effective tide solutions for bathymetric surveys in areas with complex tidal characteristics. We implement a variety of water-level measurement systems and installation techniques to obtain and analyze near-shore and off-shore data. JOA has provided tide solutions for survey areas along open coast environments with slight changes in tidal range and phase, narrow water ways influenced by shallow water and meteorological tidal harmonic constituents and areas of transition from one tide type to another.
JOA has extensive experience developing and revising discrete tidal zoning schemes in support of NOAA shoreline and nautical charting projects throughout Alaska and CONUS. We also have the capability to determine spatial variations in tidal characteristics using data acquired from a moving platform.
