Mike Zieserl (sounds like diesel with a Z) is a Partner and Senior Surveyor at JOA with more than 24 years of experience. Mike has a B.S. in Geomatics (2000) from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a B.A. in History (1995) from Williams College. He cofounded JOA in 2003 and has since developed the firm’s expertise in vertical and tidal datums. Mike enjoys exploring new field locations, especially in California and throughout Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. In his free time, he reads Haruki Murakami’s books, goes trail running, and watches college basketball.
