Jim Mitchell is a Professional Land Surveyor and Surveyor Emeritus at JOA with more than 55 years of experience. Jim has a Bachelor of General Studies (1975) from the University of Michigan–Flint. He joined JOA in 2019, bringing expertise with innovative positioning technologies and complex fieldwork management. Jim’s favorite place to work is Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska. He dreams of surveying the entire park boundary for the National Park Service, having surveyed large areas for other organizations. Outside work, he enjoys skiing, drinking coffee, and AI chatting.
